Hurt will happen. That's part of life as we live and breathe. However, forgive, yet forget depends on what the extent of hurt is. Only a fool forgets wholly.

Scorpio here 🙋🏻‍♀️When someone hurts me I tend to give way too many chances. I grew up in the strict Christian home where we heard “forgive and forget” quite often. Well, that’s no where in the Bible. I am a very forgiving woman. I am also a very protective person… of my children, myself, my brother, and my lover (when I have one). So when someone causes hurt, I draw a boundary if needed. I cut ties if needed. I learn what I was meant to learn and then let it go. At this point in my life I have worked hard for and deserve peace. I won’t let someone continue to threaten that.

Depends on what they did. If it's forgivable and forgettable. There are people who wants to ruin ur peace..that I can forgive n move on. Because its easy to stay away from those kinds. And the one who gives a scar it stays.. though some may heal or not... but it certainly stays as unforgettable lesson. Truth is it's easy to forgive but hard to forget its human nature.

I can forgive but I don't believe in forgetting. If you cross me once then you're on thin ice for the rest of eternity until I decide you're not.

I move on but I am a bit on guard when it comes to trusting that person in the future

I am going to be completely honest here.. I wish I could forget. I do try to forgive though, but probably won't be speaking to that person again. Why would I risk getting hurt again? When someone hurts you once, they can also hurt you twice. Trust is broken and boundaries are needed.

If there is genuine remorse and willingness to get better than forgive and move on. If the offending party is just going to keep hurting then remove them from your life.
